Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his character on the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. He discovered his love for acting while in school and attended acting classes at The University of Colorado at Boulder. He has been in films and television, but the small screen characters that brought him fame and an enormous fan base. He has been able to easily play characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' focus. On his debut TV show, he played the part of a killer. Later, he was able to portray the role as for an NYPD Detective. The small screen performances of his were rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. His piercingly blue eyes his visage are believed to be the best feature. These are also regarded as an iconic feature, and they have been credited as a reason for his portrayals of people who are rough, but empathetic. In 2006, he was featured in People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
